If I request an advising intervention via Advising Alert, how does advising handle that?

Advising alerts for students are sent via Workday to each student’s primary advisor on a weekly basis whenever an alert is submitted.  Please note that the student’s primary advisor is in most cases based on the student’s major.  The advising alert is not sent to the advisor in the department in which the course is housed.  If an advising intervention is requested, the advisor will attempt to contact the student first via phone and then via email.  The advisor will discuss with the student possible solutions to the current academic difficulty.
