What is the difference between transferability and applicability?

If a course transfers, it means that the receiving institution is awarding you credit for that course. Applicability means the course fulfills a requirement for your intended major.  Some courses may transfer but not apply toward your program of study. Contacting the college or university to which you plan to transfer is the best way to determine if your Owens classes will transfer and apply.
