How do I change the password on my telephone?

Cisco 8845 Phone:

First Time Enrollment:

  1. Press the Messages button on your phone.
  2. Enter your default PIN: Will be emailed to you.
  3. Follow the prompts to enroll your voicemail box. You will be asked to record your name, record a personal message, and select a new PIN.
  4. New PIN should be up to 8 digits.
    PINs cannot be trivial (i.e. 654321).

Change PIN before it expires:

  1. If you are on campus dial 5500, off campus dial 567-661-5500.
  2. Press the asterisk * when connected to the Cisco Messaging System.
  3. Enter your mailbox ID (extension) followed by #.
  4. Enter your PIN followed by #.
  5. Press 4 - Setup options.
  6. Press 3 - Preferences.
  7. Press 1 - Change PIN.


Check Messages from your phone:

  1. Press the Messages button on your phone.
  2. Enter your PIN followed by #.
  3. Follow the prompts.

Check Messages from another campus phone:

  1. Press the Messages button on your phone.
  2. Press the asterisk *.
  3. Enter your mailbox ID (extension).
  4. Enter your PIN followed by #.

You may change your password at anytime, however, passwords will expire every 120 days.
