How do I change the password on my telephone?
Cisco 8845 Phone:
First Time Enrollment:
- Press the Messages button on your phone.
- Enter your default PIN: Will be emailed to you.
- Follow the prompts to enroll your voicemail box. You will be asked to record your name, record a personal message, and select a new PIN.
- New PIN should be up to 8 digits.
PINs cannot be trivial (i.e. 654321).
Change PIN before it expires:
- If you are on campus dial 5500, off campus dial 567-661-5500.
- Press the asterisk * when connected to the Cisco Messaging System.
- Enter your mailbox ID (extension) followed by #.
- Enter your PIN followed by #.
- Press 4 - Setup options.
- Press 3 - Preferences.
- Press 1 - Change PIN.
Check Messages from your phone:
- Press the Messages button on your phone.
- Enter your PIN followed by #.
- Follow the prompts.
Check Messages from another campus phone:
- Press the Messages button on your phone.
- Press the asterisk *.
- Enter your mailbox ID (extension).
- Enter your PIN followed by #.
You may change your password at anytime, however, passwords will expire every 120 days.
