This can be completed by users.

  1. Open System Preferences.
  2. Click on Printers & Scanners.
  3. Select Options and Supplies…
  4. Select the Options tab at the top of the window.
  5. Verify Department ID Management is checked.

  6. Select the Utility tab at the top of the window.
  7. Select Open Printer Utility.
  8. Check Use Department ID Management.
  9. Enter the four digit Department ID (provided by your supervisor). No PIN is required.
  10. Check Confirm Department ID/PIN when Printing.
  11. Select Save Settings.
