Using the softphone feature, you can place, receive, and manage your phone calls through your computer and an internet connection.
To Place a Call Using the Contact List:
- Click the Contact icon in the Jabber hub.

- Hover over the contact’s name.
- Click the phone icon. The call is placed to the contact’s Owens extension.

To Place a Call Using the Owens Directory:
- Type the person’s name in the Search or call field.

- Hover over the contact’s name in the search results.
- Click the phone icon. The call is placed to the contact’s Owens extension.

To Place a Call by Typing the Phone Number:
- Type the phone number in the Search or call field.

Note: If it is an outside call, be sure to enter 9 first, then the rest of the phone number. - Click the phone icon next to the Search or call field. The call is placed to the number entered.

To answer a call:
When you receive an incoming call, a popup window appears in the bottom right corner of your computer screen.

- Click Answer to accept the incoming call.
- Click Decline to forward the call to voicemail.
To Manage your Recent Calls:
- Click on the Calls
- Click the down arrow next to the calls category.

- Select which calls you want to view; All, Outgoing, Incoming, or Missed.
- Right click on a call to view the menu to manage the call.
